jio & manie engagement

I am a hopeless romantic and love hearing how other brides were proposed to, so I thought there might be some interest in my proposal story... It was the most special weekend of my life thanks to my wonderful fiance!! My long-time boyfriend jio and I were living in separate cities in laguna. I am in IJMC for 3rd yr high school, and he is back home in mabuhay subj. studying and taking classes. We did the secret relationship thing pretty well the first year -- thank GOD for AOL Instant Messenger! Last month, he asked me if I wanted to go to makati for a romantic weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Since I attended Summer School, we planned our trip for early. He booked a room at the helton hotel and I made reservations at some our favorite restaurants in the city -- we have vacationed there several other times and always have so much fun! Little did I know that he had a few tricks up his sleeve! We have known we wanted to get married for a long time, but career and school has always taken a priority over a wedding somehow! We decided last year to get married after I graduate.
